Castle Hill is a comfortable student accommodation in Cambridge that offers a wide range of en-suites and studios for you to choose from. The property is conveniently located just a few minutes from both the University of Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin University, making it easier for students to attend those early morning lectures.

So, don't worry, your university life is never going to go for waste, but it's going to be the best time of your life indeed.
The property is very well-connected to the public transport with the nearest Histon Road Corner Bus Stop a minute down the street and the Cambridge North Train Station just a 12-minute drive from the property.
Payment Info:- To secure your room with us, you’ll need to sign your agreement and pay the £100 holding deposit which goes towards your first (or only) instalment. If you’re paying in full, or if you’ve opted for a payment plan of 4 instalments, the first (or full) payment doesn’t need to be paid upon booking however it will need to be paid before your arrival in September. If you’ve booked after the first instalment is due you will need to pay either the total amount if you are paying in full, or if you’re paying instalments the first payment.
Rent Payments: After paying the deposit You will then have the choice to pay everything up front or in four installments (location dependent). When choosing multiple installments, the full accommodation fee for your stay will be divided into separate amounts. The first installment is due prior to check-in on 10 August 2022. Other installment dates are as follows: Four installments: second due 26/09/2022, third due 04/01/2023, and fourth due on 12/04/2023.
Mode of Payment: Domestic UK debit, International (non-UK) debit cards, credit cards, and American Express. Bank transfers can take approximately 3 to 5 business days to clear into our bank account, so please check with your bank.
We accommodates all students that are 16 years of age or over, from any university and any country in the world.
Please note that you should be:
a student who is taking a full-time course at University
a student on an organised study-abroad programme
a student enrolled full-time in a language school
or a student conducting a work placement course as part of a degree-granting programme
you must be 18 or over at the time of check-in.
*You are able to book from the age of 16 at time of check-in however you will need to supply us with an indemnity form and comply with our under 18 year old policy.
We offer 43 and 51-week contracts. Please enquire for short term stays.
When checking in to your Accommodation, we’ll need to see a form of photo identification (passport, drivers license etc).
We’ll also need to see the proof of studies from your university, the best way to do that is to bring and show us your acceptance letter, we may also need a copy of this for our records and to provide to the local council upon request.
Yes, you will be asked to pay a holding deposit of 100 to complete your booking
The holding deposit is a non-refundable payment which allows us to reserve your chosen room until the start of your tenancy.
The 100 will be deducted from your first (or only) instalment.
Yes, we have high speed Wifi throughout each so you can be connected at all times. More information on how to connect will be provided upon your arrival and this is included in your rent so you do not need to pay for it.
Please note – during the on-going C-19 pandemic we are asking students to be respectful of each other and to keep guests to a minimum.
We do allow day and night guests, however, for your own safety and security, there are a few guest policies in place:
1. You can have unlimited guests visiting during the day between 8am and midnight
2. For overnight stays, one guest can stay for a maximum of three consecutive nights throughout the month
3. All guests must be 18 years of age or over
4. You will have to sign in your guests, and they must bring a photo ID to gain entry into the building
5. You will be responsible for your guest throughout their time at Accommodation.
If you wish you can clean your room yourself. But if youre not a fan of cleaning, we can offer you a range of room cleaning packages contact your accommodation team to book your cleaning service for a small fee. You can choose from Standard, Premium and Check Out cleans. Please check with a member of staff at reception when you check-in.
TVs are provided in our studio rooms at The Bridge (Newcastle). TV’s are also provided in all of most of our shared kitchen/lounges they are not provided in the ensuite rooms themselves, however, you are welcome to bring your own. You’ll be able to connect the TV to a centralised cable system. If you are watching live or recorded live TV programmes on any channel or TV service, or downloading or watching BBC programmes on BBC iPlayer on any device you will need to purchase a TV licence during your stay with us.
We have laundry rooms in all of our accommodation. You’ll have 24-hour access to washers, dryers and some sites will have ironing boards available.

Prices for a wash and dry can be found in your Welcome Book which you’ll receive upon checking-in. Payment is done through a pay-as-you-go card which can be purchased from a machine in the laundry room.

It is perfectly understandable that you might be anxious or worried about coronavirus and the impact it could have on your life, particularly because this might include being asked to stay at home or to avoid other people.
Mind has created a guide here focusing on staying mentally healthy in light of the current situation and we would encourage any students who feel concerned to read the information carefully.
The NHS has also issued the following advice to assist you in looking after your mental health by staying mentally and physically active during this time, such as:
A) Look for ideas of exercises you can do at home.
B) Spend time doing things you enjoy – this might include reading, cooking, other indoor hobbies or listening to the radio or watching TV programmes.
C) Try to eat healthy, well-balanced meals, drink enough water and try to avoid smoking, alcohol and drugs.
D) Keep your windows open to let in fresh air, get some natural sunlight if you can, or get outside into the garden (where possible).
You can also speak to your residence team about it and they can help with local resources, groups and university support too.
The health safety and wellbeing of our students is our top priority. We continue to monitor the situation closely and are proactively following healthcare and government advice from the World Health Organization, HSE, and the Department of Foreign affairs to help ensure we are effectively managing the implications of coronavirus and responding as necessary.
Within our residences:
1. We keep a stock of hand sanitiser for you to use in each of our residences
2. We’re frequently cleaning all communal and high footfall areas, following our strict COVID-19 sanitising protocol.
3. Cleaning schedules, sanitising stations and social distancing guidance are available to ensure we continue to care for each other and keep our communities safe.
4. A visitor questionnaire and sign in will be required to ensure our guests do not have any symptoms which may put our community at risk.
5. We are running all events virtually via our Instagram and Facebook channels and are slowly re-introducing in-person events
6. Our teams are available 24/7 to provide you with dedicated support and ensure you stay safe and well.
7. All of our buildings have 24/7 CCTV and secure entry points.
8. Our teams have been trained on COVID-19 secure protocol, adhere to latest official government guidance, and ensure appropriate social distancing, sanitising and safeguarding measures are in place.
9. We strongly recommend that all of our students follow the most recent guidance from the HSE and the World Health Organization.

If you’d like to move rooms, we’ll always try to accommodate it. Please do note that we can only offer room changes if there are rooms available to move into within your residence and there is an understandable reason for wanting the change.
Keep in mind that different rooms can be offered at varying prices. The rates are based on a number of things, like the size of the room, location in the building and its availability so it may be that you will have to pay a different rate to occupy another room.

Our communal spaces are residence specific, so please check the relevant residence page on our website to see what spaces it includes. In the majority of our Nido’s you will have access to an on-site gym which is free to use, as well as comfortable social and study spaces. In some of our newer Nido’s you can also find private dining rooms that you can book out with friends for dinner parties; gaming rooms with projector screens, and lastly cinema rooms complete with plenty of comfortable seating and surround sound.
Please note due to the on-going C-19 pandemic, we ask that the in-residence rules and regulations are adhered to when using the communal spaces. If you have any questions please speak to the reception team.
Yes, we do – please check with the residence about whether your studio room is eligible for dual occupancy. Both students who wish to book as a joint tenancy MUST be students.
We have accessible rooms available at all our residences, so we want to make sure that everyone is able to have a safe and comfortable stay with us, so please let us know about any medical information or disabilities on your application, or contact us directly to find out more.
We work hard to make sure that pretty much everything is included in your stay. Just so it’s clear, the below items are not included in your rent:
1. We have vending machines in some of our Accommodation. All snacks and drinks within the vending machines will be at your own cost.
2. You can pay for your laundry on a pay-as-you-go basis
3. You can book room cleans at reception for a set fee.
If you’d like any bedding, towels and/or kitchen equipment during your stay, you can buy them through UniKitOut. We’ve partnered with UniKitOut to provide you with plenty of options plus they’ll deliver to your door.
Many of our Accommodation have gyms onsite which can be accessed free of charge 24/7, so you are welcome to work out whenever you feel like it.(Please note that due to the covid-19 pandemic some of the gyms are closing from 10pm at the moment – please check with the residence team for your gym’s up to date opening hours)
Upon Check-In, we do require that you complete a gym induction to ensure you’re comfortable using all of the equipment.
No, you are not permitted to sublet any part of your accommodation, as per your accepted tenancy license agreement or AST. If you need to move out early, you should contact the reception team to discuss the option of a tenancy takeover.
Our maintenance teams are available five days a week to help with any issues or questions. They’re also available for any emergencies during the weekends.
If you do experience any maintenance issues during your stay, simply log it on your maintenance portal (full information can be found in your Welcome Book). The team will update you on the progress of the job and book a time with you for accessing your room.

We encourage everyone to bring their bikes to university as it makes for a much more environmentally friendly way to get around town. In fact, all of our accommodation have bike storage available. Simply speak to the team to book your space.
Bikes are stored at your own risk and you should ensure you have sufficient cover in place for your bike with Endsleigh. In no circumstances should bikes be stored in your room, corridor or in the communal space in the building.

Electric scooters should not be kept or charged anywhere in the building under any circumstances. This includes your room, flat, common spaces and the bike store.
