Check in guide

Approximately 2–4 weeks prior to the scheduled move-in date, students will receive check-in instructions via email. This communication will include the steps required to select a check-in date and time slot, complete necessary documentation, and settle any outstanding payments prior to arrival.In case of any questions or queries, please feel free to contact the Amber team, and our team will assist to ensure a smooth check-in process.

Renewal policy

Students who wish to extend their stay can contact the Amber team for renewal or rebooking at the same accommodation. Our team will support the renewal process and help students secure a suitable room of their choice. Students are encouraged to reach out early to ensure they can rebook the same room or another room of their choice at the same property.

Early check-in requests can be shared in advance with the Amber team. Our team will do a feasibility check to facilitate early check-in requests based on room readiness and availability. Additional charges may apply where applicable.

Payment Info:- To secure an apartment, the Tenant must pay the first month’s rental Package and any chosen options.

Mode Of Payment

Rent must always be paid in advance.  Payments can be made in the following way:  a) Bank Transfer into the Bank Account.  b) Direct Debit from a nominated Australian bank account.  c) At reception during business hours via EFTPOS or Credit Card (MasterCard or Visa). Credit card payments incur a surcharge.

No. There are no application fees.

Yes. To secure an apartment, the Tenant must pay the first months rental Package and any chosen options

Is there a cancellation fee once I have secured an apartment?

Yes there are early termination fees and cancellations are considered the same as breaking a lease.

Do I need to pay a departure clean fee?

The accommodation can arrange for the professional cleaning of your Apartment. The cost to clean a room in Semester 1, 2020 is as follows:

$240 for a studio apartment.
$275 for a 1 bedroom apartment.

Pricing is based on prepayment of cleaning prior to arrival.

If I wanted to break my lease, what are the costs associated with this?

Per Lease Agreement. The cost will be 2 weeks rent plus GST, $165 Advertising fee and Rent paid until the apartment is leased again.

What electricity cost am I responsible for?

Each tenant pays for their energy as it is separately metered. Each tenant will hold their own account with an energy company. The accommodation recommends Sumo as an electricity provider.

Do I need to organise my own Contents Insurance?

No, this is included in your rental package.

Are there any car park spaces or bicycle bays available?

There are 10 car parks available costing $50 per month and all bike spaces are free.

How much is the Internet/Wi-Fi? Who is the provider and how much bandwidth do I have?

Internet access and Wi-Fi is provided by Superloop and Unlimited Wi-Fi is included in your rental package.
